When you speak with a representative from Equisolar we want you to know up front that we are aware of the government incentives. Our goal is to help you understand how to claim these incentives and how much they can help you regarding your investment of solar power for your home or business.
Two of the popular government incentives are the California Solar Initiative and the tax credit for residential energy property.
According to http://www.
On the go solar California website they have this information regarding California solar power rebates:
“California is striving to create megawatts of new solar-generated electricity, moving the state towards a clean energy future. And you can help!”
“Join the thousands of home and business owners who have earned cash back rebates by installing solar energy systems through the California Solar Initiative. Customers earn cash rebates for every watt of solar energy installed on homes, businesses, farms, schools, and government and non-profit organizations.”
While this program is limited to the state, federal tax incentives are still available.
According to http://energy.gov/savings the The Energy Policy Act of 2005 provided a federal tax credit for residential energy property initially applied to solar-electric systems. In 2008 these tax credits were extended to December 31, 2016
